Recent Russian attacks in Ukraine caused the deaths of innocent civilians, including children, and wrecked essential places like stores and hospitals.
In the Kharkiv region, Russian strikes hit a grocery store and a pharmacy in Lyptsi, killing three people, including a 14-year-old girl. A 16-year-old boy and a woman got hurt. A hospital in Vovchansk was also destroyed.
In Odesa, Russian missiles killed four people, including a 10-year-old girl, and injured seven. Two facilities in the south were attacked, causing power outages.
Hannah Chowdhry, who has been in touch with Pastor Vasilev and played a key role in initiating a food distribution program, remarked:
“These attacks show a cruel disregard for civilian lives and make life harder for communities. The international community needs to speak out against these acts and push for peace. People in Ukraine deserve safety and peace.”

Despite the increasing danger, Pastor Vasilev, a Russian citizen, has made the brave decision to remain in Odessa, continuing his ministry and aiding those in need.

Recognizing the pressing need for assistance, Pastor Vasilev and his church have actively engaged in Christian outreach efforts and provide aid to vulnerable families struggling with the economic hardships of war. Working with British Asian Christian Association, They’ve launched food distribution programs to ensure that essential supplies reach those most affected by the resulting instability.
Despite the inherent risks, Pastor Vasilev remains steadfast in his commitment to serving his community. His selfless actions embody the true spirit of compassion and solidarity in the face of adversity.
